2 graduates from the field of expertise Metal Design & Jewelry from the Faculty of Design at HAWK Hildesheim were represented at the renowned MARZEE International Graduate Show in Nijmegen, Netherlands. They are among the recipients of the coveted Marzee Graduate Prize 2025. Susie Itandehui Heuberger and Marleen Wysocki thus belong to a select group of emerging international artists who were able to present their innovative work to a broad audience at this internationally acclaimed exhibition.
The annual MARZEE International Graduate Show aims to foster the artistic development and visibility of a new generation of jewelry artists and to intensify the dialogue between jewelry designers and wearers. Since its inception in 1986, the exhibition has evolved from a national platform into an event of international significance, featuring participants from around the globe.
Susie Itandehui Heuberger: The Body of the Crime
In her artistic practice, Susie Itandehui Heuberger engages with the female body as a political site. Under the title "The Body of the Crime," she explores how the bodies of Indigenous, impoverished, and racialized women, in particular, have historically been criminalized and serve as witnesses to societal power structures. Heuberger approaches activism as both a healing process and an act of resistance against forgetting, making visible how the body can simultaneously become an archive, a home, and a trench.
Marleen Wysocki: PENUMBRA – Embodiment in the In-Between Space
Marleen Wysocki’s work combines personal experiences, narratives, and desires with skilled craftsmanship. The jewelry pieces in the “PENUMBRA” series reflect individual identities in form, material and color, and explore the emotional and narrative content of body-related objects. Marleen Wysocki impressively demonstrates how identity and symbolism can be experienced in dialogue with the designed form.

The Marzee International Graduate Show is considered one of the most important platforms for young jewelry designers worldwide. Selected graduates receive the Marzee Graduate Prize annually, which includes a one-week working stay at the Ravary estate in Belgium.
