How well are we prepared for crises and disasters? The importance of preventive measures and clear information in emergencies is more relevant than ever given the hybrid threats posed by both human activity and natural forces. These maps raise awareness of hazardous situations and enable people to take appropriate action. Those who are prepared can react more calmly in an emergency and thereby make an important contribution to their own safety and that of those around them. After all, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
The other nominees were: Daria Berndt, Dari Dahle, Lea Sofie Fichtner, Martin Gnadt, Maira Jobe, Johann-Sebastian Münch, Josefine Oppe and Ina Szczepanski.
