At the end of each semester, the Faculty of Design at HAWK honours the best theses in the bachelor's and master's degree programs.
Nele Wellmeyer is awarded for her bachelor thesis in the field of Graphic design excellent. It was created by Prof. Dominika Hasse and Christoph Lemmer.
She asked herself: "How do you start to deal with a topic that you don't even really realise?" When grandparents are more confused and remembering takes longer, but the relatives do not yet realise what changes with dementia?
The book provides an introduction to the topic, imparts basic knowledge about dementia in general and the most common diseases that lead to dementia. The book makes the topic tangible through graphical interpretation of the diseases.
