At the end of each semester, the Faculty of Design at HAWK honours the best theses in the bachelor's and master's degree programs.

Laura Biehl is honoured for her master's thesis in the field of integrated design. It was created by Prof. Sabine Cole and Barbara König-Warneboldt.

BILLIE – Women’s Sports Only

"BILLIE – Women’s Sports Only" is about the conception and design of a women's sports magazine. For the first time at the 2024 Olympic Games, an equal number of female and male athletes will compete. For a long time, women were actively excluded from sports, and then ridiculed. In the meantime, they have arrived in competitive sports. In sports media, it's a different story; only 12 percent feature female athletes. Also because women in sports editorial offices are still the exception to this day. BILLIE is therefore a long-overdue women's sports magazine that gives female athletes the attention they deserve.
